I don't usually make many reviews in a row of any series, maybe because they don't have really important changes in the script or because the episodes have been average, nothing outstanding. But this time, The Walking Dead deserves it. Y not because it's different from the other series, but because it has reached the second episode of the season and maybe it's the first time that it's following a good - very good - path -. Is this the season we have all been waiting for?
El capítulo comienza con lo típicos momentos de tensión que creo que no vivíamos desde la primera temporada - y que conste que a mi me ponen histérica, que tuve que bajar el volumen y ponerme las manos delante de la cara -, ya que todos esperábamos que apareciera de repente el zombie de Patrick. Pero no, Karen pudo irse tranquilamente a dormir - por ahora -.
The episode starts with the classical terror scene that I believe we haven't seen since the first season - which by the way I can't stand: I have to turn the volume down and look other way -. We were all waiting for Patrick-zombie to appear, but he didn't, so Karen couldn't go to sleep without problem - at least right now -.
Se ha sembrado el pánico en la cárcel, aunque he de admitir que han muerto menos de los que pensaba después de los trailers. El motivo de la muerte de Patrick ha quedado claro, hay una epidemia en la cárcel. ¿Soy yo o teniendo en cuenta lo mortal que es deberían buscar un nuevo refugio?
The prison panicked the next morning, but I have to admit that there weren't as many deaths as I had imagined from the promos. The reason of Patrick's death is clear, there's and epidemic in the prison. It's just me or should they look for another shelter considering the mortality of it?
El otro tema del capítulo son los zombies al otro lado de la valla. Rick vuelve a coger las riendas del equipo, y sacrifica a los tres cerditos que tanto le había costado criar - y que probablemente fueran el origen de la epidemia -. ¿Por qué será que da más pena ver como matan a animales que a personas?
The other plot of the episode are the zombies at the other side of the fence. Rick missed being the leader, cause he doesn't think it twice before planning how to get rid of the zombies and of the piggies - which btw might have caused the epidemic in the first place -. Why is it that sad when the kill animals and we don't give a shit when it's a person?
Por fin hemos descubierto algo de Michonne. Después de verse obligada a coger al bebé, se echa a llorar sin remedio, dándonos la idea de que probablemente perdió al suyo. ¿Será este el gran secreto que se negaba a revelar? ¿Y de dónde salen los dos zombies amaestrados que llevaba cuando apareció la primera vez?
And we have finally discovered something about Michonne. She was forced to hold the baby, and when she was alone with her she starts crying, giving us the idea that she might have lost her own. Is this the secret she holds so dearly? And what have the domestic zombies that we saw her first with have to with it?
El capítulo termina con Tyresse descubriendo a su novia Karen y al otro chico infectado calcinados a las afueras de la prisión, lo cual no parece que vaya a sentarle muy bien. Y es que cuando puede ser origen de un nuevo brote, hay quién prefiere sacrificarlos a arriesgarse. La humanidad rebosa en la cárcel.
The episode ends with Tyresse discovering that his girlfriend Karen and the other infected have been killed and burned outside the prison, and it doesn't look like he's going to take it well. They are a threat of a new epidemic, and there's someone that prefers to sacrifice them rather than risk to die. We have a lot of humanity in the prison.
Por cierto, quería recalcar el tema de que hay alguien que está alimentando a los zombies con ratas. Aunque probablemente sea algún niño que los ve más bien como animalitos que como monstruos dispuestos a comerte vivo, da bastante mal rollo. Y eso siempre se agradece en una serie como TWD. ¿O será quizás el mismo que se ha cargado a Karen y el otro infectado intentando proteger la cárcel de infecciones?
By the way, I wanted to mention that there's someone who's feeding the zombies outside the fence with rats. Although it might be probably just some kid that thinks of them more than animals than of monsters willing to eat you alive, it's quite queer. And we like queer thing in TWD. Or is it the same person that got rid of Karen trying to get the prison free of infections?
Lo que no da tanto mal rollo es la publicidad de la serie y la aparición de la cámara Diana de Lomography en las manos de Glenn, pero como soy fan también pues hasta me ha gustado. En definitiva, buen capítulo que no te deja un minuto para aburrirte, hemos dejado atrás sin duda aquellos capítulos eternos en la granja. Da gusto ver así TWD. ¡Esperemos que dure!
What is also strange is the publicity of the series and the apparition of the camera Diana of Lomography in Glenn's hands, but since I am a fan of lomography I won't say a word! As a conclusion I have liked the episode, we have left behind those boring episodes of the farm without doubt. Like this, I love watching TWD. Let's just hope that it lasts!
