Summer news

¡He vuelto, queridos Whateverianos! Después de más de un mes completamente perdida sin rastro de internet, por fin vuelvo a la civilización (para el que le interese, he estado por aquí), y con ello a mi amado mundo de las series. Como es verano, las noticias seriéfilas escasean en esta época, pero aún así he estado un buen rato intentando ponerme al día. Para aquellos que estéis tan perdidos como yo, aquí va lo imprescindible para entrar en septiembre con buen pie.

I'm back, Whateverians! After more than one month being completely out of reach and without Internet, I'm back in the civilization (if you are interested, here is where I've been) and in my beloved series' world. Being summer, there haven't been many news, but I have spent a while trying to catch on with the world. For those of y0u that are as lost as I was, here are the most important things to start September as if you had been logged in all summer. 


Para empezar, los Emmy. Incluso yo me he enterado, así que dudo que vosotros no lo hayáis hecho. Breaking Bad, como era de esperar, arrasó en los premios, llevándose los Emmy a mejor actor (Bryan Cranston), mejor actriz secundaria (Anna Gunn), mejor actor secundario (Aaron Paul) y mejor drama, así como mejor guión para el capitulado de Ozymandias. En comedia se llevaron los premios Modern Family y Jim Parsons como siempre, y en mini series Fargo, Sherlock y AHS. La única merecedora de premios que se fue con las manos vacías fue True Detective, pero le salió mal la jugada de intentar competir con la gran Breaking Bad. Aquí os dejo el video que seguramente todos habéis visto ya de Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul y Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep) promocionando los Emmys.

Let's start with the Emmys. I seriously doubt you haven't heard anything about this. Breaking Bad, as it was expected, was the biggest winner of the awards: leading actor (Bryan Cranston), supporting actor (Aaron Paul), supporting actress (Anna Gunn) and script for Ozumandias. In comedy, Modern Family and Jim Parsons were the winners as always, and in the miniseries, Fargo, Sherlock and AHS. The only one that deserved it and that went home without any awards was True Detective, but it is the price they paid for challenging Breaking Bad in the drama category. Here's a video that you have probably already seen in which Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep) promote the Emmys.

Sherlock - Xmas special

Traemos buenas noticias para los amantes de Sherlock. Como va siendo ya costumbre para la BBC, la cadena emitirá el día de Navidad - sí, el 25 de diciembre - online la precuela de la tercera temporada de la serie. El episodio se titula "Many Happy Returns", y por si aún no lo habéis pillado, #SherlockLives! El episodio se estrena dos años después de que la segunda temporada diera por muerto al protagonista, y en la sinopsis podemos leer "Sherlock ha estado desaparecido durante dos años. Pero alguien no está del todo convencido de que esté muerto…" ¡Felices Navidades, Sherlocks!

We've got good news for Sherlock's fans. As is usual in the BBC, the channel is going to broadcast on the Christmas' Day - yes, the 25th of December - online the prequel of the third season of the series. The episode will be titled "Many Happy Returns", and in case you didn't get it yet, #SherlockLives! The episode will be two years after Sherlocks supposedly died in the second season, and in the synopsis we can read "Sherlock has been gone for two years. But someone isn't quite convinced that he's dead…" Marry Xmas, Sherlocks!

Aunque la BBC no nos ha dado aún la fecha de regreso de la tercera temporada de Sherlock, ha aprovechado el sonadísimo 50 aniversario de Doctor Who para emitir el trailer del mismo con el hashtag de #SherlockLives. Aquí os lo dejo!

Despite the fact that the BBC hasn't said yet the date of the return of Sherlock's third season, they have used the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who to emit this promo with the hashtag #SherlockLives. 

Comic-Con 2013

Uno de mis grandes sueños siempre ha sido ir a la Comic-Con en San Diego (de hecho prometo casarme con quién se digne a llevarme). Para los afortunados - a los que odio - que vayan, comenzará el miércoles 17 de Julio y terminará el domingo 21. Van casi todas las series del momento, y aunque al final os pongo el planing completo, primero quiero destacaros algunas series que van. 

One of my biggest dreams has always been to go to the Comic-Con in San Diego (actually, I've promised to marry with anyone that takes me). For those lucky enough to go, it will start the wednesday 17th of July, and will end the Sunday 21st. Almost all the actual tv series are going, and eventhough at the bottom there's the complete schedule, I'll like to highlight first some of them.
