Game of Thrones - My birthday cake

Se que el blog va sobre noticias de series y demás, pero como es mío y hoy es mi cumple vamos a centrarlo un poco en mí. Os presento la tarta que me hicieron anoche por mi 23 cumpleaños. ¡Por fin el Iron Throne es mío!

I know that the blog is about series news and all that, but since it's mine and it's my birthday, today it's going to be about me! Here's the cake I got yesterday night for my 23th birthday. I finally own the Iron Throne!

One year and many more to come

Hoy hace exactamente un año que encendí el ordenador dispuesta a crear un blog de series. El título, curiosamente, fue lo que menos me costó decidir: tenía que estar relacionado con Lost. Como todo. Un año después, con 270 entradas y casi 40.000 visitas, no puedo estar más contenta. Ha sido un año genial, y desde luego el mundo seriéfilo me ha ayudado a ello.

One year ago exactly I turned on my computer to create a TV series' blog. The tittle was the easiest part: it had to do something with Lost. As everything does. One year after, with 270 entries and almost 40.000 visits, here I am, happier than ever. It's been a wonderful year, and I can't deny that the series world has helped me with it. 

He descubierto Los Soprano, la cual en muy poco tiempo pasó de ser una completa desconocida a mi gran amor, convirtiéndose en probablemente la mejor serie que he visto jamás. La muerte de James Gandolini asentó aún más mi amor por la serie y la tristeza por su final.

I have discovered The Sopranos, which started as a complete stranger and became my biggest love, being probably the best series I have ever watched. James Gandolini's death confirmed my love to the series and my sadness towards its end.

Recientemente he descubierto Six Feet Under, que me alegra cada noche. Parece mentira que una serie que trate acerca de la muerte pueda llevar un mensaje tan alegre. Con ella tengo esa maldita sensación mezcla del miedo a que se acabe y la necesidad de saber el final. 

I have recently discovered Six Feet Under, which brightens me up every night. It seems impossible that a death-based series can be that happy. With it I've got that damned feeling of wanting it to end so I can know the finale and having fear of it ending. 

También ha llegado el final de dos grandes series para mí, Breaking Bad  y Dexter, una con un final más acertado y otra con uno que no lo es tanto. Pero no todo son pérdidas, porque también ha habido grandes estrenos, como Masters of Sex y especialmente Orange is the new black.

We also had the ending of two big series, Breaking Bad and Dexter, one with an awesome finale and the other one with one not that good. But not everything is losing, since there have been also two great premieres, Masters of Sex and specially Orange is the new black. 

Podría pasarme horas escribiendo acerca de todo lo que ha pasado este año, pero para eso ya tenéis el blog y todas sus entradas. Y a vosotros, que habéis estado siguiendo mi curso y leyendo mis tonterías, gracias por todo. Y en caso de que alguien se esté planteando hacerme un regalo... ¡En Las Vegas podéis encontrar esto!

I could spend hours writing about everything that has happened this year, but you already got the blog for that. And thanks to all of you, for following my blog and standing my madness.

¡Buenas noches, Whateverianos! Tengo grandes noticias. Aún me quedan unos días de vacaciones casi sin internet - pocos, que septiembre ya está aquí -, lo que no solo me impide manteneros informados de las últimas noticias sino que también me impide estar al día con seriones como Breaking Bad o Dexter, así que esta vez soy yo la que os lo pide: ¡CERO SPOILERS! Bueno, a las noticias. En breve empezaré a colaborar con la página seriéfila Llegaron para quedarse en la sección de Game of Thrones - y puede que alguna más, ya veremos -, por lo que para no duplicar el trabajo pondré aquí lo que publique allí en un futuro. Puede que a vosotros os de exactamente igual, pero como yo estaba ilusionada y el blog es mío pues tenía que deciroslo. Ala, ¡nos vemos el lunes con noticias de verdad!

Good evening, Whateverians! I've got big news. I have already some days of holidays without internet - just a few, 'cause september is almost here -, which not only doesn't allow me to keep you informed of the news but also makes me unable to watch the awesome series that are being broadcasted at the moment, as Breaking Bad or Dexter, so this time it's me the one who begs: ZERO SPOILERS! Well, let's go to the big news. I'll start to collaborate with the series webpage Llegaron para quedarse in the section of Game of Thrones - maybe more, we'll see -, but in order to avoid working double, I'll copy here what I publish there in a future. Probably you don't give a fuck about what I have just told you, but since I was eager and the blog is mine I wanted to share it with you. Well, see you on Monday with real news!

So... what the hell do I watch now?

Terminadas las mayorías de las series americanas de primavera y esperando al estreno de las de verano - Dexter y Breaking Bad -, me veo que mi calendario de series se ha quedado super vacío, y menos mal que tengo ahí Game of Thrones que aunque sea un capítulo a la semana me alegra como si fuera todos los días. Pero la verdad sea dicha, una vez visto siempre me asalta la duda a la cabeza... ¿y ahora qué me veo?

With almost all the american series of Spring finished and waiting to the summer ones to start - Dexter and Breaking Bad -, my calendar of series is almost empty. Thanks God I have Game of Thrones to fill my week, but once I've seen the episode of the week there's always one question that jumps into my head. So... what the hell do I watch now?

Series' Music

Como supongo que os habréis dado cuenta nada más entrar en el blog, he añadido una pequeña mejora, o al menos yo pienso que lo es. A la derecha os he puesto una lista de reproducción de YouTube, a la que le iré añadiendo canciones a medida que tenga tiempo (un martes a la 1:30 de la noche no creo que sea el momento). Y obviamente todas las canciones que ponga estarán relacionadas con alguna serie, ya sea porque salga en la intro o en alguno de los capítulos. 

As you might have noticed when you entered the blog, I've added a little improvement to the blog - or at least I think it's an improvement -. At the right there's a YouTube's reproduction list, where I will add songs when I have more time (a Tuesday at 1:30 a.m. is not exactly the best moment). Obviously they will be related with tv series, being in the intro or in an episode.

Hasta el momento solo hay 5 canciones, pero tranquilidad que en breve habrá más. Se admiten sugerencias, claro está. Ah, una cosa más. Hay gente a la que le molesta meterse en una página y que inmediatamente le salga la música, así que en el caso de que seáis uno de ellos, votad en las "reacciones" de abajo, para así saber si os gusta o no. Si no votáis  cómo suele ser la tónica habitual, básicamente seguirá ahí la lista de reproducción. ¡Espero que os guste!

Right now it has just 5 songs, but don't worry 'cause that won't last long. I admit feedback, of course, so if you gotta a suggestion please let me know. Oh, an another thing. The Big Bang Theory - Bazinga

Disculpad mi ausencia pero es que la vida Erasmus puede ser muy mala (o muy buena), y más aún si estás en Italia. Me temo que llevo desde el miércoles pasado sin ver ni una serie y no podré ver ninguna hasta este domingo (no se como voy a superar el mono que tengo). Creo que es más que obvio que hasta entonces careceré de reviews frescas, pero alguna noticia curiosa que vea por ahí siempre os la puedo contar!

First of all, sorry for my abscense the last few days, but the Erasmus life can be really bad (or really good), and even more if you live in Italy. I'm afraid I haven't watched any tv series since last Wednesday, and I won't be able to watch them 'till this Sunday! (I don't know how the hell am I gonna survive...) It's more than obvious that I won't be able 'till then to publish fresh reviews, but of course if I  find any interesting news I will tell you!!

I'm in love

Sí, habéis oído bien. Estoy enamorada. Claro que puede que no sea de la manera habitual (nunca lo es conmigo). Perdiendo el tiempo en internet me he topado con estas zapatillas de Converse... y me han molado tanto que tenía que postearlo. Esperemos que este año los reyes estén escuchándome...

Yes, you've heard it alright. I'm in love. Although it might not be in the usual way (it never is with me). Surfing in the internet I found this sneakers from Converse .. and I just loved them so much I gotta post it. Hope this year Santa is listening...

Un poco de historia

Comenzaré por presentarme. ¿Mi nombre? Creo que es lo de menos. Soy una estudiante de Medicina de Sevilla, y este año he comenzado una Erasmus en Italia. Parece ser que tengo más tiempo libre del que estoy  acostumbrada, y no hace más de media hora que me he dicho "¿y ahora qué carajo hago?". Pues bien. Dada mi adicción a las series he pensado "¿y por qué no empiezo un blog?"

I'll start by describing myself. My name? Not neccesary. I'm a Medicine student from Seville (Spain), and I have just began an Erasmus fellowship in Italy. It seems that I will have more free time that I was used to, so not even half an hour ago I asked myself "What the fuck do I do now?". And here I am. Due to my addiction to the tv series I thought "why don't I start a blog?"

¿Y el nombre? Creo que ya os habréis imaginado que soy una de esas locas a las que le gustó el final de Lost y que aún no ha sido capaz de pasar página. Y claro, tengo que suplir el hueco enorme que dejó viendo todas las series que soy capaz... Y así me va. 

And the name? Well, I think you might already imagined that I am one of those crazy girls who really liked the end of Lost and that hasn't yet find the way to move on since it finished. Now I have to fill the hugh hole it left watching all these tv series.
