It seems that it was two days ago when we were afraid of the zombies, when we thought that anyone could die because of a bite, and we closed our eyes everytime someone went out in the middle of the night. But no, it has been three seasons and everything has changed: the zombies are dumbest every episode, the bad one aren't anymore the deads but the livin' ones and you'd better go out in the middle of the night so the snipper doesn't see you! Para empezar, quería comentaros una cosa que me lleva persiguiendo desde hace varios capítulos. Soy yo, ¿o la actuación de los protagonistas es más forzada cada minuto que pasa? Michonne al menos se ha dignado a hablar en los últimos capítulos, porque en los anteriores era bastante insoportable. En cuanto a Rick, si quieres aprender de su magnífica actuación, sólo tienes que seguir los siguientes pasos:
Firstly, I wanted to share with you something that I have been thinking for a few episodes. Is it just me, or the performing of the main characters is worse every day? Michonne at least has started talking, 'cause she was quite annoying before. But Rick... if you wanna learn from his awesome performing, you just gotta follow this steps:
1. Entrecierra los ojos
2. Inclina la cabeza hacia un lado
3. Susurra lentamente tu frase, dándole un aire misterioso
1. Squint your eyes
2. Incline your head to one side
3. Whisper slowly your line in a mysterious way
¡Felicidades! Ya actúas igual de bien que cualquiera del reparto.
Congrats! Now you act as good as anyone of the cast!
Y bien, volviendo a la trama de la serie, en mi opinión TWD es una serie que tiene una trama básica genial, pero en la que los showrunners son incapaces de sacarle partido. Claramente la enorme audiencia que tiene la serie no refleja la pequeña decepción que me he llevado con el capítulo, pero así ha sido.
Well, going back to the series, in my opinion TWD is a series with a great basic plot, but whose showrunners aren't able to take advantage of. Clearly the huge audience doesn't reflect the little disappointment I had with the episode, but that's the truth.
Firstly, I believe we all hoped to see a huge battle between those in the jail and Woodbury, and the only thing we've seen is a zombie slaughter - very bloody and gore, that's true -. It seemed difficult that anyone from the jail survived, but no one has even suffered a tiny wound. What a coincidence.
Al Gobernador se le ha acabado de ir la olla, y se ha cargado a medio equipo. Apuesto a que reaparecerá la temporada que viene a lo Merle, resurgiendo de sus cenizas - cuya muerte por cierto me ha encantado, me caía bien pero creo que ha sido perfecta -. ¿Y qué hace Rick acogiendo a todo Woodbury en la cárcel? ¿No habría sido más fácil trasladarse todos al pueblo, que tiene pinta de ser "algo" más cómodo? Esta gente no está demasiado lúcida, eh.
The Governor has finally lost it, and he has killed half of his team. I bet he'll return next season as Merle did, out of the blue - whose death by the way I loved, not because I didn't like the character but because it was just perfect -. And what the hell is Rick doing receiving all the survivors in the jail? Wouldn't it have been easier if the ones in the jail had moved to Woodbury, which seems a "little" bit more comfortable? This people is crazy.
Al que habría que darle un par de tortas y ponerlo derecho es a Carl, que desde que terminó a la madre se ha vuelto bastante sádico. Preocupante un poco su comportamiento, el cual será probablemente trama importante la temporada que viene.
The one who deserves one or two slaps is Carl, who since he finished his mother is becoming more and more sadist. Quite worrying his behavior, which is gonna be part of the plot of next season, you'll see.
En cuanto a Andrea, ¿esta chica es tonta? Se pasa como una hora charlando con el casi-zombie Milton, y no se le ocurre darse prisa hasta que está ya muerto y resucitando. Demasiado absurdo. La razón de la muerte básicamente es lo impopular que se había convertido Andrea para los fans, ya que en el guión original y en los comics sobrevive. Así que cuidado con lo que escribís por ahí que el showrunner Glenn Mazzara podría estar leyendoos y, lo que es peor, haciendoos caso - ¡cárgate a Rick, Mazzara! -.
And Andrea... is this girl stupid? She spends like an hour talking with the almost-zombie Milton, and doesn't hurry until he is dying and resurrecting! Too absurd. The reason of her death is basicly how unpopular she had became to the fans, 'cause in the original script and in the comics she doesn't die. So be careful with what you write, 'cause Glenn Mazzara could be reading it and, what is worse, believing you have worthy ideas - kill Rick, Mazzara! -.
En conclusión, aunque el capítulo no haya estado mal creo que es una serie a la que se le podría sacar muchísimo más partido. La temporada ha estado mejor que la anterior, que se hizo insufrible en muchos momentos, pero tampoco ha sido como la gran primera temporada. Esperemos que al equipo de TWD se le ocurra cómo mejorarla, porque a este paso la cuarta será la última temporada que vea.
As a conclusion, even the episode wasn't that bad I think that the series could be much better. The season has been better than the last one, but nothing in comparison with the great first season! I hope the TWD team know how to improve it, because if they don't, the forth will be the last season I watch!
