There's been 6 years since we saw this Upper East Side adolescent's group sitting in the stairs of the Constance. And what a shame it didn't remain like that, 'cause since then the series has done nothing but to worsen. Last week, the last episode was broadcasted - finally -, and the end has been more than expectable, with the exception of who Gossip Girl was.
Dan Humphrey. Ese es nuestro Gossip Girl. Seriously?
He's our Gossip Girl. I mean... seriously? I'm not gonna be the one who sees the series all over again to prove it, but I can assure you there had been more than one posts that would make IMPOSSIBLE that Dan were Gossip Girl. The discover of his identity has been sudden and out of the blue. I would have preferred not to know who Gossip Girl was, since as the intro says "that's a secret you'll never know". Whatever.
The season has been weak in all senses, as the last couple of seasons had been. But with only 10 episodes remaining, who could resist to watch it after all this long time? The main plot of the season was to destroy Bart Bass so Blaire and Chuck could be finally together, the authentic main characters of the series that tossed aside Serena and Nate. Solved in the last minute and with Chuck without being one night at the jail... I repeat... whatever.

And what about the weddings? After all this many years, I was expecting another marriage proposal at the top of the Empire State Building, a wedding with 500 guests, Chuck dressed in a black suit and Blair in a white wedding dress with 5m of tail. But no, we find a tacky Chuck with a white suit and Blair in the simplest of all the dresses she's got and moreover... blue. Maximum disappointement.

¿Y Lily casada otra vez? Repito... En fin.
And the other weeding, Serena, 5 years later, dressed in gold, which matched Chuck's style. Dan is the only who was well-dressed for the wedding, thank god. And what about Chuck and Blair's boy? And Jenny's dead face? And Lily married again? Again... whatever.
And at the top of tatty scenes, the appearance of Kristen Bell, winking at the camera while she says the quote of the intro. One and a half minute completely deletable, NOTHING AT ALL related with the series.
As you can see, I haven't exactly liked the end of the series, and I am really surprised of how many people liked it. The only good thing, that it's over, Dorota's possibility of being Gossip Girl and that at least we had a closed and happy ending. Gossip Girl is over, and don't know about you, but I'll remember it with Blair and her tiaras, Serena and her 500 boyfriends (and the fights between them both), Chuck being Chuck Bass (don't need to say more), Nate the good one and Dan... without being Gossip Girl. Bye bye, GG.
