How I Met Your Dad - Greta Gerwig will be the new Ted

Ya hace un par de meses que salió la gran bomba: How I Met Your Mother iba a tener un spin-off. Bueno, un semi spin-off, ya que aunque el piloto lo llevarán los mismos (Craig Thomas y Carter Bays y con la colaboración de Emily Spivey) y la trama se parezca muchísimo, no repetirá ningún personaje. Pues bien, ya tenemos quién será la protagonista, la futura Ted Mosby. ¿Queréis saberlo? ¡Pues seguid leyendo!

A couple of months ago we heard the big news: How I Met Your Mother would have a spin-off. Well, sort of, since even though the show runners will be the same ones (Craig Thomas and Carter Bays with the collaboration of Emily Spivey) and the plot would be much alike, none of the characters of HIMYM would be in HIMYD. Well, now we know who is going to play the new Ted Mosby characters. Do you wanna know? Keep reading!

Greta Gerwig, cineasta californiana de 30 años, será la responsable de interpretar a la protagonista de HIMYD. En caso de que el piloto se convirtiera en serie, sería además productora y guionista de algunos capítulos, que unido a la fama indie que tiene me recuerda mucho al estilo Lena Dunham. La actriz, por si no os suena - que a mi no me sonaba -, lideró el reparto (además de co-escribió) de Frances Ha, por la que recibió nominación a mejor actriz en los Golden Globes. 

Greta Gerwig, a 30-years-old californian cineast, will be the responsible of playing the main character of HIMYD. If the pilot makes to series, she will be also producer and writer os some episodes, which united with the indie fame that she has gained, reminds me a lot of Lena Dunham. The actress, in case you don't know her - I didn't -, was also the main character (and co-writer) of Frances Ha, role that gained her the nomination of Best Lead Actress in the comedy category of the Golden Globes. 

Y para los despistados que aún no os habéis enterado de qué va la serie, nos describen a la protagonista  Sally, como una versión femenina de Peter Pan, una chica que aún no ha madurado y que no tiene ni idea de qué hacer con su vida. Se acaba de separar de su marido después de un año de matrimonio, y su apoyo será su hermano y el marido de este, su mejor amiga que tiene un blog de moda y el informático que lleva dicho blog, que obviamente está enamorado de Sally desde hace años.

And for those of you that haven't heard it yet, they describe us the main character, Sally, as a female Peter Pan, who has no clue of what to do with her life. Just divorced of the husband after one year of marriage, she looks for support form her brother and his husband, her best friend who runs a fashion blog and the informatic that works with her who, of course, is in love with Sally.
