Game of Thrones - S04E08 "The Mountain and the Viper"

Hemos tenido una semana de parón sin nuestra serie favorita, la cual ha acabado convirtiéndose en una auténtica tortura esperando el desenlace de la batalla de Oberyn contra the Mountain. Pero por fin llegó el capítulo y ahora podemos decir que la espera ha merecido la pena. La última temporada de Game of Thrones está haciendo de la tarea de no comerse spoilers un auténtico deporte de riesgo, así que os voy a ayudar un poco: si no habéis visto el capítulo, ¡ni se os ocurra darle a "keep reading"!

We have had one week without our beloved series, and waiting for Oberyn and the Mountain's fight was a complete torture. But the episode arrived at last and now we can say that the wait was worthy. Community - There's still hope for the fans

Queridos fans de Community: aún hay esperanza. Si la cancelación de la serie por la NBC tras la quinta temporada y la noticia de que Gillian Jacobs (Britta) se pasaba a Girls no habían podido con nosotros, nada lo haría. Hemos resistido un mes sin ninguna esperanza salvo aquellas palabras de Dan Harmon de que haría lo posible por revivir la serie. Y, por una vez, podemos creernos que existe un pequeño futuro esperanzador por Community al final del túnel. 

Dear Community fans: there's still hope. If the cancellation after the fifth season and the news about Gillian Jacobs (Britta) joining Girls couldn't destroy us, nothing would. We have survived a whole month without any hope but Dan Harmon's words saying that he would do as much as he could to revive the series. And finally, we might be seeing some silver lightning at the end of the tunnel.

A pesar de que la serie aún no haya sido renovada oficialmente por la HBO, todos estamos más que seguros de que tendrá una maravillosa segunda temporada. Tanto es así que las especulaciones acerca de quién va a ser protagonista en la segunda entrega arrasan Twitter cada dos días (que sea Brad Pitt, ¡por favor!). Pues bien, por fin tenemos algo que no son especulaciones de los fans. 

Eventhough the series hasn't been yet officially renewed by HBO, we are all completely sure that it will have an amazing second season. Moreover, the speculations of who is going to play the main role in this second season is all over Twitter (please, let it be Brad Pitt!). Well, we finally have some news that aren't just fan's speculations!

Pero bueno, yo voy a intentar animaros el día con la selección de "What the gif happened last week?", aunque esta vez creo que va a ser más del último mes que de la última semana, pero la intención es lo que cuenta, ¿no?

Doctor Who - Series 8 teaser

Después de unos cuantos meses de sequía absoluta de Doctor Who, los de la BBC nos dan la noticia: la octava temporada se estrenará en agosto. Una fecha un tanto extraña para empezar a emitir una serie si me preguntáis, pero bueno, ¡cuanto antes mejor! ¡Aquí os dejo el primer teaser de la temporada!

After a few months without knowing anything new about Doctor Who, the BBC has recently said that the eighth season will start this August. It's a weird date to start a new season in my opinion, but I guess the sooner the better! Here's the first teaser of the upcoming season!

Game of Thrones - HBO considers Spain for season 5

A estas horas ya lo habréis escuchado por todos lados: los de HBO están hablando con la Junta de Andalucía para rodar parte de la quinta temporada de Game of Thrones. La noticia se ha hecho viral esta mañana, tanto que ha sido Trending Topic en Twitter. Por ahora no hay nada concreto, pero se rumorea que será el territorio de Dorne (de donde es el príncipe Oberyn y donde está actualmente Myrcella Baratheon, para los que estáis perdidos) el que rueden al sur de España, especialmente porque cuando George R. R. Martin visitó España hace tiempo dijo que era así como él se imaginaba el reino de Dorne. 

Obviously you have already heard it cause the news has spread widely: HBO is negotiating with Spain to film part of the fifth season of Game of Thrones. The news went viral this morning, being a Trending Topic of Twitter in Spain. Right now there's nothing oficial, but it's been said that it will the reign of Dorne the one they'll film (that from where Oberyn is and where Myrcella is staying at the current moment, for those of you that are lost), specially cause when George R. R. Martin visited Spain he said that it was how he pictured the reign. 

La otra gran pregunta es qué ciudad será la afortunada. Insisto que por ahora no hay noticias al respecto (y puede que tarden bastante en aparecer), pero al parecer los de HBO ya visitaron Almería para considerarla. En mi opinión la Alhambra de Granada podría ser otra gran localización. ¿O quizás los Reales Alcázares de Sevilla? ¿Alguna otra idea? 

The other question is which city is going to be the fortunate one. Well, it will be in the south of Spain (Andalucia), but we have nothing confirmed yet except that HBO visited the city of Almeria a few months ago to consider it. In my opinion, other good places for the filming could be the Alhambra of Granada or the Reales Alcazares of Sevilla. What do you think?

Imagínatelo: esta sentado en el sofá, viendo tu serie favorita. Va ya, como mínimo, por la segunda o tercera temporada. En ese momento entra alguien en escena, alguien que no ha visto jamás la serie y que por supuesto no tiene ni idea de lo complicado que es explicarle qué ha pasado hasta ese instante en 30 segundos. Pero eso no lo detiene: "¿quién es ese?", "¿por qué está ahí?" o "¿qué está haciendo?" será todo lo que escuches durante el resto del capítulo. Pero nos os preocupéis, esta situación no se volverá a repetir. ¡Conan y George R. R. Martin tienen la solución!

Just picture it: you are siting in the sofa, watching your favorite tv series. It's already in the second or third season at least. Suddenly, someone enters the room, someone that hasn't ever watched the series and that, of course, can't understand why you can resume what has happened in the series till that moment in 30 seconds. But that doesn't stop him: "who is he?", "why is he there?" or "what is he doing?" is the only thing you'll hear the rest of the episode. But do not worry, this situation won't ever happen again. Conan and George R. R. Martin have the solution!
