Game of Thrones - HBO promises best finale ever

Todos amamos Game of Thrones. Tanto que cuesta un poco admitir cuando algo no nos ha gustado o no nos ha convencido del todo. Y eso es lo que me ha pasado en parte con el último capítulo, el 4x09. Que si, que ha sido un gran capítulo en el que hemos tenido grandes momentos como los mamuts y gigantes a las puertas del Muro literalmente o la escena de Jon e Ygritte. Estamos de acuerdo. El problema es que es el capítulo 9 de la temporada, y los de GoT nos han acostumbrado a que eso signifique que va a ser épico  Y no lo ha sido tanto.

We all love Game of Thrones. So much that sometimes it's hard to admit that we didn't like something. And that's what happened to me in the last episode, the S04E09. Okay, it's been a great episode in which we had some awesome moments like the giants and the mamuts at the door of the Wall or the scene of Jon and Ygritte. The problem is that it's the ninth episode, and the guys from GoT made us believe that all 9th episodes were going to be epic. And this one wasn't that much.

Dedicar un capítulo entero a la batalla del Muro me parece cuanto menos excesivo. Reconozco que el capítulo no me ha aburrido, pero he echado mucho de menos los grandes momentos que sacamos siempre de King's Landing, de Meereen o de donde sea que está Arya en estos momentos. Esta temporada el capítulo 9 no ha sido todo lo que queríamos que fuera, pero no os preocupéis porque esta vez el puesto de mejor capítulo lo va a ocupar el siguiente, el 4x10 "The Children".

A whole episode centered in the battle of the Wall is quite excessive in my opinion. I admit that the episode wasn't boring, but I missed a lot the guys from King's Landign, Meereen and wherever Arya's at the moment. This season the 9th episode wasn't what we were hoping, but don't you worry cause this season the next episode will occupy its place, the S04E10 "The Children". 

Y no lo digo yo - aunque con eso debería bastaros, la verdad -, sino que lo dicen los showrunners David Benioff y Dan Weiss. "It's the best finale we've ever done". El capítulo además durará 66 minutos, convirtiéndose en el más largo hasta el momento de la serie. No os voy a spoilear absolutamente nada, pero si pasa todo lo que tiene que pasar - sí, me he leído los libros -, va a ser alucinante. ¡Aquí os dejo la promo!

True Detective - Matthew McConaughey wants to be back

Habéis leído bien. Matthew McConaughey quiere volver a la serie. Aunque en anteriores entrevistas el actor declaró que protagonizar una única temporada de la serie era suficiente para él, por lo visto se lo ha pensado mejor. Deadline ha publicado una entrevista en la que McConaughey dice "Me gustó True Detective, la serie y la experiencia de rodarla, tanto que estaría dispuesto a hacer otra temporada". Y, robándoles el GIF a los de Huffington Post, así me he quedado:

Yes, you've read it alright. Matthew McConaughey wants to be back in the show. Eventhough he has declared in previous interviews that leading one season was enough for him, now he's having second thoughts. Deadline has published an interview where McConaughey says "I liked True Detective, the whole series and the experience of making it, so much that I'd be open to doing another show". Obviamente todos sabemos que la segunda temporada va a tener a tres protagonistas diferentes, pero siempre nos quedará esa pequeña esperanza de que Rust Cohle haga un pequeño cameo y nos suelte dos frases deprimentes acerca de la existencia del ser humano mientras destroza con sorprendentes habilidades un Six-Pack de cerveza. 

Obviously we all know that the second season will have three different main characters from the season 1, but we can still dream that Rust Cohle will make a tinny cameo where he says a couple of depressing lines about human's existence while he rips off with incredible skills a six pack of beer. 

Game of Thrones - S04E08 "The Mountain and the Viper"

Hemos tenido una semana de parón sin nuestra serie favorita, la cual ha acabado convirtiéndose en una auténtica tortura esperando el desenlace de la batalla de Oberyn contra the Mountain. Pero por fin llegó el capítulo y ahora podemos decir que la espera ha merecido la pena. La última temporada de Game of Thrones está haciendo de la tarea de no comerse spoilers un auténtico deporte de riesgo, así que os voy a ayudar un poco: si no habéis visto el capítulo, ¡ni se os ocurra darle a "keep reading"!

We have had one week without our beloved series, and waiting for Oberyn and the Mountain's fight was a complete torture. But the episode arrived at last and now we can say that the wait was worthy.
