Whatever Awards - Best character ever

Cuando decidí crear los Whatever Awards sinceramente nunca llegué a pensar que llegaría realmente a esta fase con el número de participantes más que decente que he tenido, así que para empezar quería agradecéroslo a vosotros. Bien, como todos yo me suponía desde hace alguna ronda qué personajes llegarían a la gran final, y no era difícil adivinar que sería Sheldon Cooper contra Tyrion Lannister, dos de los mejores personajes que tenemos ahora mismo en pantalla y de los que disfrutamos cada semana. 

When I decided to create the Whatever Awards I never expected to arrive to this phase with as much participation as I actually had, so first of all I would like to thank you guys. Okay, as many of you, I also assumed who was gonna finish in the last final round a few weeks ago, and it wasn't that difficult to guess that it was gonna be Sheldon Cooper vs. Tyrion Lannister, two of the best character we have at the moment in the small screen. 

Después de dos semanas de votación, Tyrion Lannister se corona ganador de los Whatever Awards. La actuación de The Imp es simplemente genial. Tanto, que hace que se nos olvide que es un Lannister. Cada minuto que está en pantalla vale más que horas de muchas otras series, así que no podría estar más contenta con el resultado. Bien, ¡supongo que ahora sólo me queda llamar a Peter Dinklage para que venga a recoger su premio! Y no te preocupes @CalendulaEnFlor, que serás co-presentadora en la entrega de premios. 

After two weeks of voting, Tyrion Lannister has declared himself as the best character ever. The performing of The Imp is just great. It is so cool, that he makes us forget that he's actually a Lannister. Every minute he's on the screen is worthy more that hours of other tv series, so I couldn't be happier with the result. Okay, I guess now I just have to call Peter Dinklage so he can come to pick his award! And don't you worry @CalendulaEnFlor, you'll be hosting the awards with me!

Finalmente llegó. La última ronda de los Whatever Awards. Tyrion Lannister contra Sheldon Cooper. Poco más tengo que añadir. ¡A votar!

It's finally here. The last round of the Whatever Awards. Tyrion Lannister vs. Sheldon Cooper. I have little to add. So vote!

Ha pasado un poquito más de una semana, pero la ronda 10 ya ha terminado. Esta vez quiero agradecer la enorme participación que he tenido en el blog. Se ha notado mucho el número de visitas que ha provocado la review de Game of Thrones, que hizo que los votos que llevaban acumulados John Locke y Abed pasaran desapercibidos frente a la ola masiva de votos para Tyrion y Sheldon. 

It has been a little bit more than a week, but the round 10 has finally finished. This time I wanna thank you all for the huge participation I had. It was notourious the amount of people that vote after entering in the blog to read the review of Game of Thrones, which made Abed and John Locke weak against Tyrion and Sheldon Cooper.

Después de semanas de votos, tenemos los ganadores definitivos de drama y de comedia. En comedia, Sheldon Cooper ha ganado, pero solo ha quedado un 2% por encima de Abed. Considerando la diferencia de audiencia entre ambas series, pienso que es una clara victoria también para Community. Pero como solo tengo una corona, quién sino Sheldon Cooper para llevársela. En cuanto a drama, Tyrion Lannister no ha tenido rival en absoluto.  Por mucho que me duela, mi querido John Locke se quedó atrás rápido. 

After weeks of voting, we have the definitive winners of drama and comedy. In comedy, Sheldon Cooper has won, but he was only 2% above Abed. Considering the audience of both series, it's obviously a win also for Community. But since there can be only one winner, who else better than Sheldon. And in drama, as much as it hurts me, Tyrion Lannister won clearly against my beloved John Locke. 

Bien, ya solo queda una última y final ronda, en la que no solo decidiréis entre Tyrion y Sheldon, sino entre comedia y drama. Aquí os dejo cómo quedan los Whatever Awards tras la última ronda, y en breves minutos, ¡la final!

Well, we have only left the last and final round, in which you don't only decide between Tyrion and Sheldon, but between drama and comedy! Here's how the Whatever Awards are after last round, and in a few minutes the final!

Round 10 - Drama

Y la categoría de drama que no podría ser más dificil. Tenemos a los dos mejores personajes de Game of Thrones, Daenerys Targaryen y Tyrion Lannister, y compitiendo contra el mitiquísimo John Locke. ¿Sinceramente? Dudo que sea capaz de votar esta ronda.  Espero que vosotros lo tengáis más fácil, ¡así que a votar!

And the drama category couldn't be more difficult. We have the best two characters from Game of Thrones, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister, against the great John Locke. Fuck, I really think I can't vote this round. Hope it will be easier for you guys, so vote!

Round 10 - Comedy

Entramos ya en la fase final, en la que tenéis que votar al mejor personaje de comedia. Por un lado tenemos al desconocido Abed, el mejor personaje de Community sin lugar a dudas. Después tenemos a Sheldon Cooper, que ni necesita presentación de la cantidad de premios que ya se ha llevado. Y por último a Gloria Delgado, a la cual no esperaba ver a estas alturas de las votaciones pero estoy muy contenta de que esté. Bien, como es una votación un poco diferente, esta vez tendréis la semana entera para votar... Así que pensadlo bien y votad, ¡malditos!

We are in the final fase, in which you'll have to vote for the best comedy character. Firstly, we have the unknown Abed, the best character of Community. Then, Sheldon Cooper, who doesn't need presentation after all the awards he already has. And lastly, Gloria Delgado, who I didn't expect to see at this stage in the Whatever Awards, but I'm glad she's here! Well, as it's a special round, this time you'll have the whole week to vote... Decir que esta semana me he retrasado con los Whatever Awards sería quedarme muy corta, pero es lo que tiene ir una semanita de vuelta a casa, que dejas de meterte en Facebook, Twitter y tu blog para tener algo de vida social. Perdonadme, no volverá a pasar - en verdad en dos semanas volverá a pasar, ¡voy avisando! -. Bueno, volviendo a lo que os interesa que está claro que no es mi vida, por fin he cerrado la ronda 9 de los Whatever Awards, y aquí tenéis a los ganadores.

I was going to say that I was a little bit delayed with the Whatever Awards this week, but I believe you wouldn't have believe that shit. I went back home for a week, and I had social life, which kept me out of Facebook, Twitter and the blog. So sorry guys, won't happen again - just bullshit, it will happen again in two weeks -. Well, going back to what you are interested in - which clearly isn't my life -, I have finally closed Round 9 of the Whatever Awards and here are the winners!

Otra ronda más terminada, ya va quedando poco. En comedia, Sheldon Cooper ha masacrado a Chuck Bass, lo cual estaba clarísimo. Y en drama, que Daenerys le haya ganado a Heisenberg solo lo puedo achacar a la diferencia de audiencias de ambas series. Pero bueno, vosotros habéis votado y así quedan los Whatever Awards después de esta ronda. Y como siempre, en pocos minutos la ronda 9.

Terminada la séptima ronda de los Whatever Awards, me he quedado alucinada con el resultado. En la ronda de drama era de esperar que ganase Tyrion Lannister contra Dexter, pero lo que no me suponía en absoluto es que en la de comedia Abed fuera a ganar ni más ni menos que al mismísimo Phil Dunphy!! Increíble, se ve de donde saco a los seguidores del blog. Bueno, después de esta ronda así quedan los Whatever Awards, y en pocos minutos como siempre, ¡la octava ronda!

The seventh round of the Whatever Awards is over, and I'm in shock with the results. In the round of drama it was obvious that Tyrion Lannistar was going to win against Dexter, but what I absolutely didn't expect was that Abed would win against Phil Dunphy! Incredible. Well, after this round, this is how the Whatever Awards are at the moment. In a few minutes, round 8!

Esto se pone pero que muy difícil. Hemos pasado ya las primeras rondas en las que os presentaba a los personajes, y ahora tenéis que eliminar a vuestros favoritos. ¿La primera ronda? Nada menos que Phil Dunphy contra Abed. No está mal, ¿eh?

This is starting to be soo fucking difficult. The first rounds where I presented you new characters have finished, and now you gotta select from your favorites. The first of this, Phil Dunphy vs. Abed. I cannot watch.

Buenas noches señores. Sí, os he tenido abandonados, y mucho, pero tengo excusa, y es que he entrado en la modernidad, en el siglo XXI, y he dejado atrás la Edad de Piedra en lo que se refiere a tecnología. Sí, me he comprado un Mac, así que perdonadme si tardo un tiempo en entenderme con él. Además he tenido una visita parental a Italia, pero claro eso es secundario al Mac, ¿no? Bueno, a lo que iba.

What's up, guys? Yes, I know, I have abandoned you, but I gotta an excuse, 'cause I have actualized myself, I have entered in the XXI century and left behind the Stone Age in tech. Yes. I have bought a Mac. So forgive me if it takes a while before I get used to it. Moreover, my parents came to visit me in Italy, but of course that's secondary considering the Mac, right? 

Anti-Whatever Awards - My own Razzies

Todos sabemos que hoy es la noche de los Oscars, pero pocos saben qué premios se entregaron ayer. Bueno, más o menos, porque os hablo de los Razzies, los premios que se entregan a la otra parte del séptimo arte. Peor película  peor actor principal, peor dirección... ¿Os vais haciendo ya una idea acerca de lo que consisten los Razzies? Bien, pues me han sugerido hacer unos Razzies de series, y creo que es una idea genial, porque TODOS tenemos a más de un personaje que estamos deseando que desaparezca de alguna serie. Así que a continuación, ¡mis Razzies!

We all know that tonight is the night of the Oscars, but I wonder how many of you know which awards were given yesterday night. Well, kind of, 'cause I'm talking about the Razzies, the awards that are given to the other part of the cast of the seventh art. Worst picture, worst actor, worst director... Nice awards, right? Well, someone suggested me why didn't I made my own Razzies of tv series, and I thought it was a great idea, 'cause we ALL have a character that we hate. So keep reading... my own Razzies!

Round 6 - Comedy

Bien, y la sexta ronda de comedia algo más fácil que la de drama... El legen - wait for it - dary Barney Stinson contra la genial Gloria Delgado. ¿Votos?

Round 6 - Drama

Esta categoría es diferente. Especial. Mítica. Imposible. O al menos a mi me lo parece a la hora de elegir. Es la única que tiene personajes de series que no se están emitiendo en este momento, pero que han sido tan geniales para mi que no podía hacer unos premios de los mejores personajes de series sin meterlos. ¿De quién os estoy hablando?

This cathegory is different. Special. Impossible. Or at least for me it's gonna be impossible to vote in this one. Is the only one where the characters are from tv series that have already finished, but they are so good that I couldn't make this awards without including them. Who I am talking about?

En primer lugar, John Locke. Hombre de fe. El único que entendió la isla desde el primer día. El único del que Ben llegó a tener celos. El favorito de Jacob. La marioneta del humo negro. El de "I've looked into the eye of this island, and what I saw... was beautiful". El de "Do you really think all this is an accident? That we, a group of strangers survived, many of us with just superficial injuries? Do you think we crashed on this place by coincidence, especially, this place? We were brought here for a purpose, for a reason, all of us. Each one of us was brought here for a reason", esa frase que nos dejó a todo atontados delante de la televisión. 

First of all, John Locke. Man of faith. The only one that understood the island from the begining. The only one that Ben was ever jelous of. Jacob's favourite. Smoky's puppet. The one of "I've looked into the eye of this island, and what I saw... was beautiful". The one of "Do you really think all this is an accident? That we, a group of strangers survived, many of us with just superficial injuries? Do you think we crashed on this place by coincidence, especially, this place? We were brought here for a purpose, for a reason, all of us. Each one of us was brought here for a reason", that sentence that left us all in shock in front of the tv.

Y después, Tony Soprano, mi último y gran descubrimiento. Probablemente uno de los mejores personajes que se han hecho en la historia. El que trabaja en el Bada Bing, pero se acuesta por las noches junto a Cam, el que ordena sin pestañear cargarse a alguien pero riñe a AJ por saltarse una clase, el que se acuesta con stripers pero no acepta que Meadow salga con un negro. Ese, Tony Soprano. 

And then, Tony Soprano, my last and biggest discover. Probably one of the best characters ever made for tv. The one that works in Bada Bing, but kisses Cam before going to sleep, the one that orders someone's death, but tells off AJ for his grades at school, the one that sleeps with strippers but doesn't like Meadow dating a black guy. That one, Tony Soprano.

¿Dificil? No creo ni que sea capaz de votar en esta ronda.
